Oranges are a great healthy food that are full of vitamin C and antioxidants. People most often drink orange juice or eat oranges whole. This recipe for Vitamix Orange Juice combines both of those methods into one healthy blended drink.

One of the benefits of blending the orange instead of juicing it is that you will consume the fiber and some of the pith of the orange. The pith is the white part that is underneath the skin, and orange pith is healthy too!

Recipe Steps

Step One

Wash and peel your oranges, cutting away the orange part and leaving at least some of the white part.

You can use whatever type of whole orange you like, including Naval oranges, Cara Cara oranges, blood oranges, or even tangerines.

I also highly recommend using a high speed blender like a Blendtec or a Vitamix.

And, as always, please check the recipe card at the end of this post for the exact ingredients and measurements.

Step Two

Blend your ingredients on high for about 30 seconds, or until the blended orange juice is completely smooth.

Step Three

Once you've blended your Vitamix orange juice, then you can serve it right out of the blender.

This blended orange juice is best served immediately, as it can tend to turn bitter as it sits.

Pro Tips

  • Use a Blendtec or a Vitamix to ensure that the orange juice gets very creamy and fully blended.
  • Use filtered water to ensure you don't get any flavor of chlorine in your juice.
